A Bridal Editorial -with Barbara Kavchok Bridal
Ever hear the word “haunting” when it comes to describing beauty? Beautiful, but in a sad way. A way that lingers on your mind and is deeply felt in your bones.
I felt this shoot enveloped that concept perfectly. Melancholic and haunting. Beautiful and unforgettable.
Monica of Moonchild Floral Design did an incredible job installing the florals for our annual styled shoot, so much so that I couldn’t resist shooting with them a little longer in the studio before the sets were taken down. I had this vision of classical music, a veil, and a white dress - reached out to Barbaba Kavchok Bridal and that was that! We got together to choose gowns that were special in their simplicity and elegance and made magic in the studio. I couldn’t be more thrilled with the results.
The beauty of this shoot is in much more than the elements that you see on the screen. It’s truly a testament to the concept of less is more. Strong posing, and commitment to the character of the whimsical, melancholic bride from your models makes a huge difference in how the end result speaks to a certain emotion. It was a pleasure leading Kate and Abby through the process and I’m so proud of them (and their partners!) for bringing this shoot to life!
