When the mountains are calling and you must go

Travel isn’t something you do for the sake of doing. It’s the most intentional way to LIVE.

Think about it - have you ever hopped off a plane or gotten out of the car after a long travel day, and been completely overwhelmed by the beauty of your new surroundings?

Have you ever experienced a new place and been completely in awe that something so magical exists? Have you ever experienced that magic with someone you love?

Imagine feeling all that inspiration and all that wonder, imagine soaking in the blissful, joyous, overwhelmed by all the majesty of the world good feels - and getting married on that high.

It’s an experience you cannot replicate or explain. It just has to be felt.

When the time feels just right…

If you’ve always dreamed of getting married on a cliff in Ireland - or if you’ve ever wanted to relive the memory of your favorite childhood vacation with your fiancé by your side… Perhaps you just want your kids to experience the vastness and beauty of the world around them or your parents to visit your favorite island in Greece. So many reasons to say yes, but you only need one to make it happen. There will never be a better time.

I can help you finalize all the details, and can help you hammer out costs, locations, and any necessary permits.

Most of all, I can help you dream, and can help bring that dream to fruition.

Where we’ve been, and where we’re headed…

 Frequently asked questions

about travel

  • There are SO many factors that go into the cost of an elopement or destination session. Am I already in or near the area? Will you need coverage for two hours, or over the course of two days? Because of the varying nature of travel photography, I like to customize each package to the needs of each client. Generally speaking, elopements can start as low as $2500 and range all the way up to $10,000. Sessions can be very comparable to my standard pricing if I’m already in the area! If you’re ready to talk details, you can inquire below!

  • I do! I always recommend booking in an area I’m already traveling to in order to keep travel costs down, or to encourage friends/family to book a session as well in order to split travel costs. I’ll go anywhere you want though and can always try to book more work while at a new destination so that travel costs will be at an absolute minimum!

  • Generally speaking, my schedule can be pretty flexible until flights are booked! If I have time between commitments, I can head to my second destination early, or I can stay where I’m at for a few more days to wait for you! I’ll usually say that I’m traveling between this date and this date, or during this month, and will note when I have free time when and where it exists!

  • Honestly, not at ALL.
Of course costs will vary based on the size of your elopement and the style of wedding you envision, but generally speaking - you can create an entire destination elopement at the same cost as a Disney vacation. Flights, accommodations - you can find great deals, and many of the locations we’d shoot at are FREE! You can experience the magic of an elopement for a fraction of the cost of a stateside wedding, and you can make incredible memories to boot. Priceless.

When you want it to change you.

I’m often asked why travel elopements have such an iron grip on my heart and in my business. It’s not because I don’t value the beauty of my home state. It’s because I felt the call to adventure in my own life, and once answered, I was never ever the same.

I saw the immense value of photography within the elopement experience after traveling to Ireland for the first time. Being able to travel alongside my husband, I was completely blown away by the vastness and majesty of the landscapes surrounding me. And being able to hold his hand as we climbed mountains and felt the wind on the clifftops, it deepened our sense of wanderlust. We instantly craved more. I knew it would be special, but the overwhelming joy and awe of the experience truly swept me away. I soon realized that the couple we were there to photograph was experiencing that same joy and wonder.

And they were getting married to boot! Surrounded by their dearest and best, they were completely engulfed in this happy, awe filled bubble and promising each other forever on that high. It radically shifted my perspective on the value of eloping - not going just to say you did, but going because there is NOTHING that will top the rush of emotions felt during that experience.

As a photographer, my job isn’t just to take your photos while there. It’s to cement that it was all REAL. That it happened, that you lived it. You’ll be in such a constant flux of emotions, and so the photos serve as a tangible reminder of what you did, who was there, and how you made it your own. We are there as your memory keepers, and your fellow adventurers. We are there to carry your dress through the mud and keep your veil from flying off into the ocean. We are an integral part of the experience, and so it’s EXTRA important that our connection is strong.

If you’re a hopeless romantic, with an appreciation for nostalgic and editorial storytelling - and a call to explore and wander - I’d love to connect with you.
