An incredible day on the ridge, Jamie & Troy’s elopement was one I’ll always remember. Intention was the word of the day, as no detail was missed, no moment without purpose.

An InTENTION FILLED ELOPEMENT AT PROMISE RIDGE

The day started slowly with both Jamie & Troy helping one another finish up their preparations in the mural room. The sun shining, the breeze blowing, we took a few moments to step out onto the ridge and enjoy the scenery before guests started arriving. What I love so much about weddings at Promise Ridge is that the timeline can be the same, and the details that fill the day can feel similar, but every couple is SO different. They bring an individual flavor and design to their day and it is so fun and challenging as a photographer to tell their story in a unique way - rather than falling into autopilot mode. One of the hallmarks of my brand will always be story driven, and that no day should ever be shot in exactly the same way just because it’s “easy.”

But YOUR day should always feel easy. Theirs was filled with moments with their dog Mack, and slow, peaceful connection after the ceremony where they could relax together between drinks of champagne. We captured a peacefulness and depth that was so wholly their own, and I remembered how much I love intention filled elopements. I love couples who free themselves of tradition for tradition’s sake and embrace the stillness of their wedding day. It makes for some truly magical wedding photos.
