Minimalistic Maternity - Black & White Studio Session

Black and white has my heart forever.

I can’t tell you how incredibly special it is to celebrate the beauty of maternity with the simplicity that black and white offers.

Black and white photos remove all distraction and focus on the emotion of the moment.

I had the best time shooting with these two and their energy was infectious. They love one another so deeply and really appreciate how special it was to be there, in that moment, together. In all the places and in all of the lifetimes - life found them here, awaiting a sweet baby girl. What a gift that is to soak in and truly understand.

The studio continues to offer a versatile space to create - floating from simple backdrop to simple backdrop. And yet, as easy as it all is, it still feels impactful. Without the distraction of color, the emotions of the moment can shine. I felt so much joy working through these and love how blissfully simple their gallery was.

Let it be known - art can be just as impactful with all the fluff and frills as it can be within the most bare and basic. I think that’s the point after all, to make something beautiful out of the most everyday ingredients.
