If you dream of marrying in an eclectic Victorian mansion, David’s Country Inn is the venue for you.

Nestled in Hackettstown, NJ, David’s is filled with so many nooks and crannies and pieces of history. Beautifully restored, each room houses a different personality, both vibrant in character but quiet and delicate in its charm and beauty. It was the perfect setting for a collaboration between Valor & Vine and A Touch of Elegance - bringing to life the very first styled shoot within David’s Country Inn.

Our goal was simple - to celebrate the diverse spaces within the venue, while also showcasing new techniques and approaches to wedding styling and decor. We highlighted an unexpected element into the design - SAND. If you’ve been following me for the past few months, you know my love affair with the diversity of sand is still going strong. The stylists at A Touch of Elegance elegantly wove sand into the centerpieces, making it both a standout design piece while still being completely practical and attainable for any wedding day. I was truly obsessed with the outcome and feel like it was an incredible showcase of talent to bring that vision to life!

Tanner & Talitha are one of my very own wedding couples this year, and they are both delightfully talented creatives themselves. They helped me express a moody timelessness within David’s walls, something both romantic and soft, but intensely passionate. We had the BEST time running around the venue, taking in each unexpected wallpaper or wall fixture that called our names. We even shot in the gloriously blue bathroom, and I can’t tell you how much I loved it. I LIVE for the unexpected and love to hop into rooms you wouldn’t normally consider for a photo op! Moving around this venue is so fluid and natural, and I love that couples who get married here can tuck into a private room for a quick moment of peace while still feeling like they’re close to the party and all of their guests.
